So as I sat outside in my California board shorts and flips flops I had to stop and remind myself that in no time I would be walking through rain, hail, snow and whatever Mother Nature decides to throw our way.
When most my age are preparing for back to school shopping for their kids, here I am just trying to get a grip of entering back into another winter season on the East Coast. Sometimes I think my generation is so torn. Half of us half the white picket fence with a van in the driveway and the rest of us are still traveling to find our destinations in life, love and career. We fall into what are so many categories that only make our grandparents heads turn. No one went wrong, we just went in different directions. So I make a mental note of my belongings that happen to be here in PA. What is sufficient and what won't make the cut moving into another winter. It always pained me as a child that Summer seemed to come and go so quickly that it made itself to be that of a tease. I suppose that's why I have dreamed of Cali since I was a kid.
But now that I know it to be true that I will be spending the Autumn and Winter seasons with you all, I can mentally and Clothing....Wise prepare. I believe I will be coming up with an end of the year bucket list. Halloween happens to be one of my most exciting holidays and I do love a festive Christmas tree.
Seasons for giving thanks and appreciating those around you. Not that you shouldn't be doing that on a regular basis but I cherish the holidays where I can surprise those around me. I happen to be a person who has received a lot of help and hope from those around me which has gotten me through 32 years. So going into this Winter, I hope to give back as much as I possibly can and take no day for granted.
Life is beautiful and so are you.
Cheers and Weekend Sunfalls,
