Controversial, yes I agree. The experience to learn and comprehend by the ability of brilliant minds is absolutely priceless. However, the point that this article might be trying to achieve is that there are brilliant and talented minds that may as brilliantly succeeded without such a degree however found their niche and calling upon the streets and upon the evolving world.
Should there be such scrutchinary against those who chose the world against the classroom reform? However there is.
It’s a Summer day and you happen to stroll by a young person selling lemonade, you may think “How cute”. Did you know she was trying to pitch in on a new pair of shoes? Next Summer you stroll by and she is trying to raise money from the proceeds to raise money to raise awareness on Recycling, yet she will not have to funds through her family or grants to go to college.
This now a young woman lands in your office with more life skills than any of the candidates you have interviewed,yet without any college credentials. Yet on the questionnaire before you, you have to ask, “Who is your Alma Mater?” Yet you remember that young girl on the corner of your street with better accounting sense than the interns you hired last week couldn’t afford to go to college. She was the one who stayed to take care of her Mama and make sure her little brothers went to college. Now on her own, trying to pursue her own dreams, being held back from a norm that implies what a norm is.
Take a chance, all people are worth it because they want to be worth it for you, themselves and their family.
