Now that I am back in the working field, I have been trying my best to time manage. I set small goals for myself on a daily basis and try to reward myself with something new each week. For example I took some friends Rollerskating last week! Yeah I said it! Now I have to paint a picture for you. Walking for me was near impossible for almost four moths. Having been an athlete my entire life, it even pained me to watch a movie where someone was walking, running, hiking.... anything that involved two appendages that I couldn't even will to move. After two months of concentration and almost literal baby steps, I started walking small distances. Now I can walk to and from work (a little over a mile). Now standing on 4 wheels is a whole different story and I knew this. Although I am proud, I have been humbled and I knew it would be difficult and embarrassing for me. But you know what, I did it anyway. I clung to that wall like my life depended on it. I rested when I needed to rest and I glided along SLOWLY when I could. It wasn't pretty and I knew if I fell, I could possibly seriously re-injuring my back but this life isn't going anywhere and I need to continue living it.
So if you have a chance this weekend, I encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. Whether it's saying hello to a stranger or booking that flight you've been putting off, give yourself the ability to try. You might just be seriously pleased with the outcome.
Stay you,
Blondesheep
