Hi there and thank you sincerely for stopping by this blog. I recently came across a news article on the Business Insider which can be read HERE. First I have always been in awe of the Wall Street Bull ever since I was young. The statue was powerful and drew attention in every direction. It meant to me as a young girl that anything in the world was possible. Charge your way. No matter how awkward the bull in the China shop may be, you will be seen, heard and respected. We are living in 2017 where Trump is President and women are still paid less to do the same job as a man. Where Transsexual individuals are being beaten and murdered in Brazil and our Veterans are still going on without the proper care.
There is so much to say in so little time. So much that I would like to learn more about and yet I keep myself on the sidelines for the sake of sanity. Where this post stems from is a Facebook post from a few weeks ago, A friend took a quiz to see what hair style would best fit her personality. It just so happened it was the "Mermaid" look. I automatically posted "Do it!!" A week later she posted that her boyfriend didn't approve and posted a look that was more conventional.
This has struck a nerve.
I just want to yell out and scream... "Dear Men, Your comments are Stale." We have heard them before. We are not your play things. We are not here for your amusement. We have not been blessed with the gift of life to tend to all of your needs. We are Women. We are the beauty as you are the beauty in our life. We respect you, respect us. Something so small as your significant other not supporting your hair change can be the start of something more. For the love of all that good, hair is hair and take it from someone who cut it all off.... it grows back... your backbone does not.
Every man, woman and transgender needs to stand up for their beliefs, love and needs. Life should not be a high school cafeteria until we die. Our voices should be heard and in some societies where the voices are refused, then in so many short words... screw em. We deserves our slice of happy pie. Everyone deserves to find someone who loves them for every mess up, every happy mistake and every quick.
We deserve happy.
