Top of the day to you and thanks for stopping by! So the past three weekends have been overloaded with creative time. We are hosting a Halloween party and 80% of our decorations are made from household items and on the cheap. Great, right?! Absolutely, but that has meant very little time for fun outings. We had originally planned on trying to get to a festive haunted attraction but again, that means using the spare creative time to travel, invest the money and hope we could fit all of our decorating in time.
But low and behold, I might just have found the best guy in town. He informed me earlier in the week to make sure I planned on something special Sunday afternoon. I didn't quite have the energy to figure out what we could possibly be doing on a Sunday afternoon, but as we drove by the marquee in Lancaster city, I had a good idea of what the afternoon would have in store,
So to the theater we arrived and for the next few hours, I thoroughly enjoy my time at the Adam's Family production. I am sad to say we grabbed the last showing but it only makes me happy to look forward to their next show. I had almost forgot what a pleasure it is to take the day to immerse yourself in talent. Having stemmed from submitting actors to shows I do compliment the Fulton for their casting of this show. I also must compliment the writing, super funny and cute at the same time! Fester and Grandma.... woah, they were hilarious! Gomez and Morticia were a great team and Thing was a great little addition as always.
Here's a description from the Fulton Website:
America’s first family of creepy camp storms onto the stage with a fresh, modern story that asks audiences to “define normal.” Now all grown up, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents with secrets threatening to tear apart generations…alive and dead!
So all in all, I had a delightful time spending the day with these actors. I look forward to ELF coming to the stage this winter and here is hoping that you too may have a chance to escape the toils of your day with a show at your local theater.
Cheers and Spooky Leers,
Blondesheep
